Cambridge SOFA is a charity that exists to help people in need. We recognise that many people seeking to access our service may face a variety of difficulties or problems in their lives other than their low income.

However we do not accept that any such problem or difficulty is an excuse for bad behaviour or gives an individual the right to speak or act in a rude, offensive or aggressive manner.

We always seek to treat individual customers with courtesy and respect and we expect our staff and volunteers to be treated the same way in return.

Our zero tolerance policy towards unacceptable behaviour means precisely what it says. Any customer who is rude or makes an offensive comment will be asked to leave our Store. Any customer who is verbally or physically intimidating or aggressive will have his / her customer status revoked.

If you have a client with any history of such behaviour then you should make this clear to him / her and also, preferably, accompany your client on his / her visit to CSOFA.
